  • Grand Site of France, Saint Guilhem le Désert, the Hérault gorges

The Grand Site of France of Saint Guilhem le Désert, a 12th century village with an Abbey, has a UNESCO world heritage classification under the title of “des chemins de Jacques de Compostelle”. Must see sights are the devil’s bridge, one of the most ancient Roman bridges of France, the Clamouse caves and the potter’s village of Saint Jean de Fos.

  • Lodève, a town of art and history

Lodève is a former bishopric with a cathedral and an Episcopalian palace. It has a medieval town centre, the Fleury Museum with its big, annual exhibition and the Savonnerie Manufactory annexe of the Gobelins Manufactory in Paris.
